why pollution is your fault

Pollution is your fault! People everywhere are complaining about what the oil companies are doing wrong and that we aren't doing enough for the environment but, look at yourselves middle class America. When BP spilled oil into the ocean the whole world was in uproar: what about the millions of individuals whom illegally dump waste, used oil, and trash into our sewer systems. Yes it was a tragic event when the oil takers leak, but how does that compare to the quantity of oil that is spilled by leaky cars that are driven everyday; oil disposed of improperly. Sometimes bad things happen in the pursuit of progress and people should learn to accept that. Each person who owns a car is equally to blame for these kind if disasters. If the average American stopped consuming fuel in their cars then there would be no need to transport it across the oceans. While we are taking about cars most trips made by Americans are short distances that could be easily rode by bike, yet they choose to pollute in the name of convenience. This is no different than when a company decided to make cut backs on quality control to make a profit. Big companies provide a service and should accept the consequences of their actions!
